Uzoenyi: Am Hopeful Of Getting Better Offers Than Rennes'
Super Eagles winger Ejike Uzoenyi is still eyeing a move to Europe after his six-month loan move to Rennes in France was not extended, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Uzoenyi who grabbed a brace for the Eagles against South Africa at the ongoing CHAN on Sunday, revealed to MTNFootball.com that he is optimistic that better offers will come his way.
"God knows why things went that way (with Rennes), but with the experience I got from the Rennes move, I am better now and I have learnt a lot.
"I know better offers would come, but right now I am concentrating on helping my country win the Africa Nations Championship.”
He further revealed that the cold weather in France adversely affected him at Rennes.
"I don't like talking about my move to Rennes, but sincerely many things did not go well, the cold was unbearable for me because I had never seen that kind of cold in my life before."
Uzoenyi who plies his trade with Enugu Rangers, was a member of the Eagles side that won the AFCON last year in South Africa.
